Hello Etsy 2012

I had the pleasure of joining this year's Hello Etsy event in Eindhoven, Netherlands.  I was incredibly inspired and encouraged to carry on with my dream.

"Hello Etsy: Small Business In A Big World, is a day-long gathering for small business owners who want to connect with their peers, learn new skills, and be part of the movement to build a better world."-helloetsy.com

There were some really great speakers, including, Janine Vangool (Uppercase Magazine), Diana van Ewijk (Mama Marketing), Satish Kumar (Resurgence Magazine), and many more.  It was an inspiring day full of food for thought and action, and a real sense of community with like minded people.

Some of my favorite notes from the conference were:
-make things that you love.
-there is always room for quality!
-there is value in inefficiencies, (they give the personal touch).
-share more stories and resources.
-the press is not scary (they are a human, just like me).
-"An artist is not a special kind of person, but every person is a special kind of artist." Satish Kumar

I was super inspired by the etsy conference and would love to join the one coming up in March in Brooklyn.

Thanks for reading lovelies!
