my office space.

29.1.13

I finally got around to tidying my workspace.  This week, it was one of the priorities on my To-Do List. Oh My, it feels good to have checked it off. I set the timer for 30 minutes and almost made it in time, just five minutes over! haha.  Before it looked a bit like this.

Now it looks and feels much better!

I have my items hanging that I need to measure and post, all my shipping materials, water, business/blog planning materials, and art supplies.  Plus I have an ever growing wall collage of inspiration and memories.  I want to feel at home and inspired in this place.

But It is also important to have the wall in front of me mostly blank because, as I list items in my shop and blog, it is important to stay on task.

What is important to you when it comes to work/office space?

I'd love to see yours if you have photos of it!

Have a good one.

Cheers,

anna

  1. I really love your work space, especially that globe. It's a really cool thing to have.
I think inspiration walls are important, even if it's just so there's something for your eyes to wander to when you're having a mind-blank.

  2. Lisa,

    Thank you.

I agree about the inspiration on walls. It's a tricky balance that I am trying to figure out!

  3. Anna,

I love that huge "Stuff does matter" manifesto on your wall. I made a small card with the label "stuff does matter" after I've heard "after the jump" with Megan Auman. To tell the truth, there is nearly no space near my desk to pin the whole manifesto ;-)

  4. Lately I've been thinking that I need to get back in touch with the more creative side of me. Seeing your work space makes me realize that I really need a dedicated zone of my own to achieve that goal. Thanks!

    1. Victoria,

Yeah dedicating time and space to our goals is really important. Even if they are small. I know that I have to map out time for things that I think are really important otherwise I don't do them,

Thanks for sharing I love hearing for you!

  5. Your workspace is super fabulous! Mine is crowded and filled with fabrics. I have to do most of my vintage photography in our basement.... but I do love my office with its vintage wallpaper, bright orange color and inspiration photos.
