Art Goal 3: Make a living on my art

This is a big one for me this year. Our savings are out, we are not in debt but we are for the first time living on our art. My financial contribution to the family is solely from my art. I am not the only breadwinner in the family so some of the pressure is off, but in order to pay our bills and still be able to put a little bit away; my goal is to make 1,500€ a month on my art business.

When working on this goal, I will keep the ‘why’ in mind.

Why?

I need to finance my art practice in our lives. My boys deserve to live a good life + travel. This is the way I can best bring income into our family so far. I should keep selling my artwork.

We will be able to pay our bills and put some aside. We won’t have financial stress and have to hold back so much.

I will feel accomplished and proud, having done my part in terms of family finances.

My mini goals are to…

  • keep my web-shop updated

  • complete and acquire commissions

  • post my artwork and studio practice on social media regularly

My starting steps for this one are to photograph all available artwork, complete commission 1,2,3, and post limited edition prints in my web-shop. So nice to have concrete goals, action steps that I can take to progress on this goal.

Cultivate What Matters’ #Powersheets goal-planner is helping me get a lot of clarity about my goals. (not sponsored).

It is quite an honor and a privilege to be able to be paid to live my dream and to paint and sell my work for a living. I hope to have a healthy and long artist career many, many years to come.

Thank you to all of you who have purchased a painting, shared my work with friends or loved ones, and commented or liked my process on social media. I appreciate your support so very much!

Thank you,

Anna
