"Landes Bier": Beer Country: 4th Edition
"Landes Bier"-is a little series about beer tastings.  Many of you know I live in Germany, I'm not a native to this land, I am a newcomer.  Germany prides itself on its beer, like many other lands.  I have been trying to know some local beers.  I am no beer expert and I don't know any of the proper beer tasting terms, however I am trying my hardest to explain, for myself and you, what the experience of this beer is.

Klosterhof-  Heidelberg    Helles.

This is a lovely refreshing beer.  It is mild and fleeing.  The initial taste is lovely and sharp and then it fades very quickly.  There is little to no aftertaste, which is strange for my most recent tastings.  It drinks like a spring. It is smooth and thirst quenching.

Dominik visited this "Kloster Brauerei" Monastery Brewery with some friends last Saturday as I worked.  It was jealous and should have sent the camera with him, he said it was really beautiful and very interesting. He tasted some wonderful beers.  He brought me back a 6 variety pack.  My husband knows me so well.

Their website shares details about their beer, activities they are involved in and how to order and get hold of their brews.  It is totally organic, and does taste like it.

I could imagine drinking this lovely beer on a hillside in the grass and sun, enjoying the summer breeze blow my hair.  That is where this lovely "helles"  light beer would be best.

Thanks for reading and hearing my silly attempts as describing my beer tastings.

Today I am tasting, Leikeim's "Original Steinbier"  Stone Beer

Tagline:  "Geschaffen durch Feuer und Stein"   Created by Fire and Stone.

It tingles the tip of your tongue on first contact, then is crawls into the rest of your mouth filling it with a rich, full flavor.  Not too full like a meal but filling with flavor.

After the 3rd or 4th sip it really has a numbing sensation over my tongue.  I am glad I am not eating any thing with it.  I think it is a stand alone beer, without a meal, or nuts.

It has a refreshing taste though it is full.  I think it is the perfect beer for just before spring.  It is like a warmer weather version of a dunkel. haha

I would recommend it but only for the seasons like right now, between winter and spring, or maybe a fall beer.  But not really a summer beer.

Well I hope you could differentiate some of this nonsense.  I hope that you are tasting some good brews these days.

Other than beer tasting.  I have just been hanging out with my husband, and working in the shop.

Thanks for reading

"Viele Gruße aus Deutschland"  Many greetings from Germany.
