Fixed and Dilated-Blog about Bikes Beer and much more
The lovely lady over at Fixed an Dilated, a blog about bikes and beer, posted some of my bike photos on there.  It's a pretty sweet space.  I like what they are starting.

They are celebrating the bike and beer culture of the North West.  They only started about a month ago, but have made a lovely little space to explore such wonderful subjects.

If you live in the north-west USA, or anywhere in the world and love bikes and beer you should most definitely check out, and participate with, their lovely new blog.

The blog is based out of Tacoma, WA.  Pretty fun things they are starting.

Thanks Fixed and Dilated!
Thanks Elizabeth.

The weather was so lovely again here.  Cold but sunny.  Riding home from German was a delight.  I need to oil my chain there are some signs of rust.  I need to take care of my lovely bike better!

thanks for reading.

Bikes are faster than walking.......but slower than driving.....
We have bicycles.  My husband and I.  We don't have a car.  We take the tram and ride our bicycles when we go places.   This is typical for Germans, especially Uni-students, and young folks.  There are lanes for bikes and traffic expects you on the roads.   It is far better than biking in Spokane, WA, where I used to live, where people would curse you solely for sharing the road.

Today I took a whole bunch of packages to the post.  I ride by bike there often.  It can be a bit tricky sometimes with so many parcels...

Luckily I have a beastly polka-dot bag that can fit the world in it. And a little green case for smaller packages and letters.

Here is my bike.  Well, I don't own it Oma Lore owns it but she is lending it to me.  I am very grateful.  I use it everyday.  I ride it to the tram stop and then take the tram to my German language course from M-F.

My bike has a wicked front and back light for after dusk riding.  The light's power is generate by a little crank that rubs to my back wheel.  So, as I ride I power the light, wicked little environmental gadget.

It was so lovely and warm.  I didn't even need a coat.  A flannel shirt was enough to insulate me.  There wasn't a cloud in the sky...

These fields are one of my favorite things about living on this side of Eppelheim, Germany.  They are a 2 min bike ride from my house and are so lovely to wander in for a short stroll on a sunny day!

Today just makes me so excited about the spring and the summer.  And more times on my bicycle.

I have always been a big fan of bikes.  They are faster than walking, meaning your can really use them to get places efficiently.  But they are slower than driving, which makes it easier to think about things and take in your surroundings more, which is a wonderful thing.  I love being aware of my surroundings, noticing details  is one of my favorite things to do.

Thanks for reading.
