It's been snowing!
In Heidelberg it doesn't snow much but the past few days it has been snowing on and off, consistently.  Nothing is really sticking, but it is gorgeous as it falls.

Dominik snapped these pictures of my old man sweater outfit on our way to a restaurant.  This weekend we went on a brunch date because we couldn't squeeze an evening date during the week.  As I always say, date night is one of our/my main priorities.

Though it is such a priority, it is hard to keep it that way sometimes.  It is easy to overlook its importance.  If I don't get my date time, I don't feel close to Dominik.  Which then effects many other things...

I assume it will get harder and harder to keep it a priority.  Especially once kids come.  But that's why I really want to keep it a part of our habit and keep it #1 in planning the week.

Thanks for reading lovelies.

Are you sick of me taking about how important date night is?  I think I have probably mentioned it once a week.

Christmas Cheer...
The great thing about being a new family and making a home is starting new traditions and decorating on a budget.  Haha.

We don't have much extra cash these days so decorating needs to be almost completely DIY.  Which got my creative juices flowing.

So, on the eve of Advent we took the evening to celebrate the beginning of the christmas season.

We made cookies, sewed stockings, made an Advent Calendar tree, drank Gluhwein, sewed garlands and watched "Miracle on 34th Street."

It's really feeling like home here in our new place.  It's fun being our own little family unit.

What are your christmas traditions?  Are you planning any new ones this year?

Breakfast and Flea-Market with my Love
Yesterday my husband and I had a wonderful morning having breakfast at a local bakery Mantei and then heading to Mannheim for a wicked FleaMarket!  It was cold we spent our first 10 minutes outside scraping the frost off of Oma's car.

Yikes, I seem to forget about the seasons every time they change. I am somehow always surprised by them. It's as if they have never happened before.

Mantei has good breakfast!  Once we were finished we drove the car to the wonderful world of a flea-market.

{Outfit-  Coat: Amisu,  Shoes: Thrifted, Socks: Oma Knit, Pants: Market in Thailand, Scarf: Patricia Knit.}

I love working and collecting vintage for the Shop!  The sun was shinning and the market was bustling. It was a brisk day but it was lovely.

Thank you for reading.

Date Night: Live music

Last weekend my Love and I drove in the rain to a concert.  We hadn't been to one for a long time. At least to one that was not one of our shows (he's a musician) so am I sometimes.

We saw two bands Jonathan Kluth and We Invented Paris. They both were entertaining and it was a pleasant evening enjoying live music and drinking "Weinschorle" (wine spritzer in English I think)

Well as I say always at the end of Date Night Posts.  If you have a loved one or a good friend that you want to spend time with. Make it a regular thing.  Schedule time together.  Date Nights happen weekly in our tiny household and we intend to keep it that way.

Thanks for reading lovelies.
